The initial focus will be on pet food, health and beauty products and alcohol, and as with other online marketplaces, sellers will fulfil orders directly. The key to the Marketplace team’s success will be its ability to work with many other teams in the wider family, including Finance, Digital Product and Online Operations. No two days will be the same as you become an expert in your area of the Marketplace model. What you’ll doWork with sellers to manage onboarding, compliance and performanceManage a growing team of operations executivesManage the day to day operation, problem solving, escalating issues as required and seeking opportunities to improve our operationsDrive problem solving including identifying the key issues and developing effective solutions to manage or mitigateEffectively use insight to understand customer needs, market trends and competitor activity to identify and influence opportunitiesDevelop processes and methodology for operationsWhat you’ll needSuperb data manipulation skills – this means you should be proficient with MS ExcelThe ability to quickly grasp and utilise multiple product systemsProject management skillsExperience of working in an online retail environment (essential)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you’ll be working alongside stakeholders, suppliers and colleagues with varying technical experienceExperience of managing a teamIf you have not received a response within 48 hours of applying, please assume you have not been shortlisted this time.Pontoon is an employment consultancy.
