Operations Manager - Manufacturing

We are recruiting an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join a highly profitable, well positioned and growing manufacturing business in Cockermouth.

Over the past 4 years the business has worked to streamline their offering, improve efficiencies and reduce cost and are now positioned in a niche market with only 2 global competitors.

Currently turning over �6m with only a head count of 12, exporting 90% goods sold, the forecast for 2025 is �12m.

The business is highly profitable and offers and generous profit share scheme.

We are supporting the Managing Director to find an operations Manager who can take over the day to day operations of this promising business.

We ideally seeking an individual who has either a formal engineering qualification/education or has come through an engineering route in their career.

This is an exciting opportunity to grow with an ambitious business in a successful and stable group of companies.

As the Operations Manager in this very lean business, you will have a very broad and varied role:

• Managing Day to Day production & Planning


• Oversee Quality Control


• Supplier Management


• Inventory & Supply Chain management


• Logistics


• HSE Compliance


• Team Development, leadership & recruitment


• Customer Relationship Management

We are seeking an individual who is looking for a long-term role, who likes to get their hands dirty and who has experience of running either operations or production.
Due to the small size of the team, it is important that the individual has a solid grounding in engineering.

The successful Operations Manager can expect a generous starting salary and profit share scheme.
