Operations Manager – Advisory

A leading Wealth Management / Financial Advisory firm are actively looking to recruit a Manager in their Harrogate offices. We require incredible leadership skills and the requirement to manage a team of up to 10-15 IFA’s. The role will cover Private Wealth, Investments, Pensions, Mortgages etc. The candidate must have a very strong Financial Services background in Financial Advice / Wealth Management.Specifically you’ll be responsible for:To manage and develop a team of up to 10-15 self-employed Financial AdvisersTo deliver an annual team target, which will be set by the Director, in line with requirements of the business.Responsible for delivery and support for company strategy/regulatory changes and business quality.Training/Development and Coaching of AdvisersTo lead, manage, coach and developImplement effective training and development plans for all Advisers via an annual assessment and ongoing during the year.Increase own and Advisers technical knowledge and awareness of market and legislative conditions to enable the highest standards of advice to be given.To identify advisers appropriate training and personal development needs through the annual completion and review of the Personal Development Analysis.Ensure effective delivery and application of the company’s Training and Competence Scheme in relation to the advisers, to monitor advisers professional development.To demonstrate ongoing Continuing Professional Development of your own knowledge and skills and have responsibility for your own Training and Personal Development Plan.To recruit and retain new and existing Advisers in line with the targets agreed with the Director annually.We would be seeking a candidate who has at least 4-6 years experience within the Financial Advice sector, either as a Manager or Financial Adviser, coupled with a Diploma in Financial Advice.
