MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Operations Engineer to lead a busy operations department of an Energy from Waste power station in the Worcestershire area. Our client is a leading business within the Power Generation sector looking for an experienced Operations Engineer to join their team.

As the Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Supervising and leading all operational day staff with day to day duties and responsibilities
• Manage third-party contractors on site and ensure they are authorised to work on site
• Supporting the maintenance department to ensure maintenance schedules are adhered to and implemented as required
• Ensure full Health, Safety and Environmental compliance across the site
• Supporting with training and development of the Operations team
• Act as the Senior Authorised Person on site
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Proven operational experience in a relevant industry such as; Energy from Waste, CCGT, Biomass or other heavy process sectors
• A background in maintenance is desirable but not essential for this role
• Supervisory / management skills, experience with leading a team or mentoring junior team members if essential for this role
• Contractor management experience
• Full UK driving licence

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading power generation business with a salary of up to circa £66,500 plus other benefits.
