I am super excited to be working with this leading provider of event hire and logistics solutions, who cater to a diverse range of events across the UK. We are looking for an Operations Director to join them at this pivotal time of growth for the business. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless execution, efficient resource allocation, and exceptional service delivery across all operational functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize operational efficiency
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the operations team
Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources
Manage supplier relationships and commercial agreements
Accountability for the end-to-end logistics process, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management
Managing annual financial targets and KPIs
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements
The Ideal candidate:
Proven experience in a senior operations role within the events industry or a similar logistics-oriented environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving abilities
Communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Excellent knowledge of health and safety
Financial acumen and budget management experience
Hands-on with a positive approach!
