About the Role:
As Operations Director you will be responsible for the overall success of the Operations team. This is split into 4 silos - Project Delivery, Contract, Systems & IT, and Compliance, each with their own head of department and system of management.
We are looking for someone with prior experience of working in a fast-growing business, and experience from both the shop-fitting/construction and field service industries would be a major advantage. This is a new role within the company, and one that is key to the development and strengthening of the Ops team as we gear for further growth.
We have Operations hubs in Leicester and London, and remote staff based across the UK. Travel to team events and for general management will be a part of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership - excellent people skills and ability to manage, motivate and develop a team.
Strategy - keep the big picture in mind and build for the long term.
Finance - help create budgets and then manage the departments to meet these.
Efficiencies - help us become a leaner, more effective and efficient organisation.
Change - proactively implement change and improve systems and process.
Implementation - a track record of seeing projects through to completion.
People - you will have overall responsibility for the people within your team.
Acquisitions - help successfully onboard acquired businesses staff and clients.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree level education as minimum
Minimum 5 years experience in an Operations Director / COO role.
Field Service experience highly regarded.
UK Driving License
Experience in the construction/fitout industry very useful.
