Operations Customs Administrator (initially 6 months contract)This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing and evolving, entrepreneurial division of a global FMCG employer of choice, looking for a talented Operations Customs Administrator. This role would be perfect for a graduate or someone of similar level, interested in working in supply chain, who is well organised and has excellent communication and attention to detail. The role is initially for 6 months after which there is a strong possibility of it being extended.The successful candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating import and export electronic paperwork and documentation for cross-border movement of goods between the UK and the EU ensuring that all essential information is completed both accurately and on time. The role will also support the wider operations team as needed, giving this individual a great level of exposure to working in a fast-paced global operations team.Work with Operations, Planners and Customs Agents to process essential import and export documents in order for goods to be cleared to pass from the UK to the EU.Track the paper trail of each load from start to finish to ensure accuracy and consistency and flag any loads to the Operations Planner which do not reconcile.Maintain and keep completely up to date the electronic filing system for all paperwork related to each load, ensuring accuracy of labelling and methodical organization.Communicating with suppliers to request any information that has been identified as missing from documentation, incorrect or inaccurate in order to provide a right first time submission to customs agents.Communicating with Customs Agents where necessary if any hold ups are experienced in deliveries due to any issues with submissions.Communicating with transport companies where there are potential hold ups either through information not being supplied or processed.Attendance of audits to guide the auditor to appropriate files for any given loads.Processing of invoices for goods delivered to customers.This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to further their career.
