Operations Controller - Glasgow

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Operations Controller to work with Citylink at Buchanan Bus Station, Glasgow.Working as part of a small team, you will assist with the day-to-day operations of Scottish Citylink Coaches and Megabus Networks across the UK. You are pivotal to the smooth operation of the network, and should you encounter issues, such as delays or breakdowns, you are responsible for getting the network back on the road!You will often be required to offer support to drivers and liaising with the coach operating depots such as Stagecoach, to ensure our passenger expectations are met.Required Skills:Ability to problem solveAbility to remain calm under pressureExcellent communication skills (telephone, in person and email)Have a professional telephone manner Desirable SkillsGood Knowledge of UK roads networkGood Knowledge of vehicle defects proceduresExperience of working in a control room (or equivalent)Knowledge of coaching operations in UKKnowledge of driver hour regulationsEducation: GCSE or equivalent (preferred)Experience: Transport: 1 year (preferred)Hours of Work: 42 hours per week, 24 hour opening with rotating 12 hour shift patterns.
