Operations Analyst
Our automotive OEM Client based in Dunton; Essex in the United Kingdom are searching for an Operations Analyst to join their team. This position is confirmed as £17.59 per hour, Inside IR35 and therefore will be subject to full PAYE tax. Details of this can be provided on request.
This is a 12-month contract with possibility of extension. The working pattern is 37 hours per working week and our Client are open to hybrid working discussions.
Position Description
This is an opportunity for an Operations Analyst to work with big cloud-based data in delivering and maintaining Local process controls, working across functions and markets to manage ordering of SV options, meeting customer needs at all levels of the business. You will build operational excellence and program control capabilities across the Special Vehicle Operations organization to deliver the best solutions to our Client’s customers in a flexible and agile manner. This will include using Data and Tools to identify and action improvement areas to increase the agility and flexibility of the team. You will be integrating industry best-practices to further improve productivity and identifying additional tools that could further support the team build more robust, higher quality products with shorter lead times.
Skills Required
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing best practices [incl. Six Sigma, Kaizen etc.]
Highly numerical with strong analytical skills.
Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
Be a self-starter with the ability to take responsibility for key assignments with minimal supervision.
Process-oriented mindset with emphasis on implementation.
Skills
Experience of working with Big Query, Google Cloud Console and Alteryx.
Experience of Power Automate and Power Apps and Excel VB.
Flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
Ability to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to collaboratively work in a diverse, cross-functional, European environment.
Agile project management.
Experience Required
5-7 years’ experience of working in a manufacturing / operations environment.
Building out and optimisation of new processes.
Tracking of operating metrics and KPIs.
Use of agile methodologies to accelerate program delivery.
Experience
Experience of the Commercial vehicle conversion market and international automotive industry.
Knowledge of structure and processes, with experience in PDL, Product Development, Manufacturing and/or Program Management.
Education Required:
Education required: University degree or equivalent in Engineering.
Higher degree (Meng, MSC, PhD), desirable
