This is a really varied role would suit someone who is aself-starter, enjoys being hands-on and would welcome the opportunityto work closely with a wide range of stakeholders in an ever-changingand growing business.As Operational Resilience Manager,you will find yourself:Managing and co-ordinatingall problems and incidents to help minimise the impact for ourcustomers and stakeholders, ensuring service operations are restoredquickly.As the key escalation point for incidents, youwill assess any reported incidents, whilst reviewing the impact andurgency of the situation.Setting clear standards forOperational Resilience by defining the maximum tolerable level ofdisruption to important business services, supported with specificoutcomes and risk metrics.Building an effective BusinessContinuity and crisis management regime, being responsible for thedevelopment of Business Impact Assessments (BIA), Business ContinuityPlans (BCP) test plans across the business, embedding governance,roles, and responsibilities.In this role we'llreply on you to...Ensure that our deliverables arealigned with regulations and latest thinking in the financial servicessector.Prioritise the things that matter most, byunderstanding our important business services and determine which havepropensity to pose an intolerable harm or high risk.Deliver the Bank's Operational Resilience roadmap to help prevent,adapt, respond to, recover from, and learn from operationaldisruptions.Capture relevant information to determinewhether an incident needs to be declared and then classifying theseverity of the incident (minor to critical).Leadingimprovements in Business Continuity by designing, building, anddelivering plans, against requirements, policies, frameworks, and bestpractices e.g., ISO22301.Provide oversight througheffective governance and oversight of controls and practices.Promote and influence a positive culture across the Bank andembed into business-as-usual practices.Provide support toteams across the Bank and define and embed shared responsibilities.Coordinate and lead testing plans, highlighting weaknessesand areas for improvement.Provide monthly and ad hoc MI asrequired for management and risk committees.Liaise withstakeholders to provide updates on compliance status and deliveryroadmaps.Work closely with outsourced service providerssuppliers as required to implement recovery and resolution plans.Upon resolution of an incident, produce an incident reportidentifying root cause analysis and lessons learnt and improvements.Skills and experience – you are/will have most ofthe following:Hands on experience of working inincident response & management, operational resilience, and businesscontinuity roles.Demonstrable knowledge of adhering toindustry regulations PS21/3, PS6/21, and international standards suchas ISO22301.Good knowledge and application of ITILIncident and Problem management practices.Provenexperience with running Major Incident Management and CrisisManagement.Proven record in the development of businesscontinuity deliverables e.g., BIA's, BCPs,BCM frameworkand communication plans.Ability to lead and influencerapid response teams in the event of a crisis or incident.Working knowledge of cloud services providers and key technologiese.g., Amazon AWS, Microsoft products (Azure, Office 365).Experience of Outsourcing and third-party risk management PS7/21.Project management and planning experience.Highenergy, enthusiastic and can-do mindset.An excellentcommunicator at all levels, with strong writing skills.Problem-solving skills and an ability to interpret data to identifyemerging risks and key trends.Detail oriented but able todetermine priorities in a time sensitive manner.Collaborative and considerate working style.Be a calming influence, even in highpressure and crisis situations.What we can offeryou:8% company pension contribution and 3% individualcontribution (which you can opt to increase)30 days holidayevery year -
