The Facilities Operator will be responsible for assisting the Facilities manager with the maintenance of services and processes that support the core business of the SEA sites. This role would suit someone who has experience within ‘handyman’ services and or painting and decorating.

What you’ll be doing
The post holder will contribute towards ensuring the business has a suitable working environment for its employees and their activities focusing on using best business practice to improve efficiency, by reducing costs. This role has a wide field and diverse range of responsibilities, the post holder will be involved in day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings, equipment, and premises.
To respond to and rectify faults or problems in a timely manner taking into account the health and safety of employees and the impact on the company
To actively contribute to ad-hoc project request on any SEA site that falls within the capabilities of the facilities team member
Supporting the Site Facilities Manager, Head of Business Services in planning for future development in-line with strategic business objectives
Planning and carrying out essential central services such as maintenance and renovation works
Checking that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies
Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise
Record and check monthly meter readings
Carry out minor building repairs and decorating jobs
Moving and erecting furniture within buildings and between sites
Basic maintenance of pool cars (cleaning, topping up with fluids, checking lights, tyres, taking vehicle for service etc)
Moving items between sites using the works van, obtaining help if required
Ensuring the buildings, offices and grounds portray SEA corporate image
