Position: Operations Engineer
Location: 2/2 Rotation Irish Sea

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Offshore Ops Engineer to join our Offshore Operations team. Reporting directly to the Offshore Installation Manager, this role is crucial in providing technical expertise, maintenance support, and engineering leadership to ensure the smooth operation of our offshore facilities.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with the Offshore Installation Manager to support operational, planning, and engineering issues.
  • Provide specialist technical advice and leadership to address operational risks, prioritizing mitigation strategies and contingency planning.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in offshore processes and systems, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate offshore Management of Change activities, including technical reviews and assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with Company procedures, permits, and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Support investigations into production outages or losses, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with onshore teams to optimize performance and report on functional areas as required.
  • Analyze key data to optimize operational efficiency, updating management and reporting systems accordingly.
  • Minimize downtime events through root cause analysis and the elimination of equipment single points of failure.
  • Uphold the Company's reputation in all offshore production operations, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Support initiatives to promote visible and proactive management commitment and employee involvement in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) activities.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering with accreditation by a professional body.
  • Extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in process facility production operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience in an offshore production facility.
  • Thorough knowledge of HSE management systems and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation such as DCR, PUWER, HSW, RIDDOR, and PFEER.

Required Competencies:


  • Strong technical expertise in the oil and gas industry to ensure compliance with regulations and legislation.
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members to achieve high performance and professional development.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective work relationships and networks.
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Compliance with all mandatory and statutory training requirements for Liverpool Bay as per the HSE Competency Matrix.

Working Conditions:


  • Certified to work offshore with valid BOSIET and OEUK Medical certification.
  • Rotational position, predominantly offshore, as required by the Company.
  • Flexibility to work onshore as part of the rotation or for specific projects.
