In return you will receiveA competitive salary based on 161 offshore days and additional pay for equal time rotaCompass exclusive offers on PerksAtWorkAccess to a wide range of programs to train and develop youWhat you'll be doing:As part of your role as the offshore chef manager, you will organise and supervise the unit as well as being responsible for the overall efficient and effective management of the unit under your control whilst providing a quality service.Successful candidates will have responsibility for the preparation, cooking and service of food, laundry, accommodation, and janitorial services to agreed standards and specifications and to ensure the efficient and economic use is made of all resources, including stock, labour and company assets.More about the role:Promote a safety culture across the unit ensuring all Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times e.g. Food Handling, Manual handling, Fire procedures Ensure all Food Safety and Health & Safety paperwork is maintained correctly on a continual basis to ensure full complianceEnsure all equipment and machinery is in safe working order; all faults/repairs are reported using the appropriate reporting procedures at the earliest opportunityManage the delivery of the food service provision across unit utilising all available resources effectively and efficiently ensuring that all meals are provided to the required quality standards at the specified times to create a consistent customer experience and avoid any service failures or penaltiesProactively develop and continually improve all client and customer relationshipsWho you are:Proven track record working as a Chef ManagerReal passion for foodExcellent client relationship, people management and communication skillsHighly motivatedFinancial awareness to complete weekly business returns and full accountability for P&LMotivated to deliver consistently high standards of food and service qualityFriendly and approachable, with the management skills to develop and manage a teamCertification requiredbut not essential at this stage:BOSIET/FOETMISTOEUK Medical plus Food Handlers MedicalShoulder MeasurementsAdvanced First Aid CertificationAbout UsPart of Compass Group UK&I, ESS is the Defence, Government, and Energy services sector of Compass Group UK & Ireland.
