The Opportunity
We are looking for an Officer of the Watch to join our team working on a Dredger Vessel on a rotational 3 weeks on 3 weeks of shift pattern. The role itself will see you joining at Langstone port and is a UK Coastal area of work. You will serve as a member of the Deck Department under the supervision of the Chief Mate. Where youll be supervising a team of three Able Bodied Seafarers and responsible for the safe navigation of the vessel whilst on watch, carrying and/or assisting dredging operations and maintaining bridge navigational & communications equipment. In addition, carrying out the maintenance and inspection of all Life Saving Equipment.
Who you are
You'll have experience working in a shipboard environment
You'll have the following qualifiacitons; STCW II/1 Officer of the Watch Unlimited Certificate of Competency
A valid ENG1 (medical fitness certificate) or accepted equivalent
All valid STCW certification

Ideally you'll have some experience working on a dredger vessel, however this is not essential
