Ocean Trade Analyst - Birmingham - Permanent Role - Ocean Freight Experience ESSENTIALSalary: 30k-35k (depending on experience)Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:30, 60-minute break Silver Arrow are currently recruiting for an Ocean Trade Analyst to work for our client based in Birmingham on a permanent basis. It is a wide-ranging supporting role, focusing on administration of contracts and monitoring of utilisation, along with analytical tasks to drive optimal yield development.Your Role:Maintain and update customer rate tariffs, including handover to the Tariff Management Team.Maintain carrier contract agreements, including handover to the Tariff Management Team.Participate in carrier review meetings, including preparing presentations and statistics.Provide general support to the Trade Management Team as required.Support and manage the completion of long-term customer tender responses.Monitor customer volume performance against agreed commitments.Monitor Metro volume performance for core carriers against agreed commitments.Monitor NAC and FAK market rate developments on major trades and share Intel internally.Engage with market intel partners, ensuring full awareness of future developments so maximum value and ROI are generated (e.g., Xeneta).Review the volume allocation of NAC and FAK per carrier, ensuring optimal yield.Support carrier landside negotiations and take administrative ownership of communicating updates and maintaining costs.Provide regular trade and carrier management reporting in line with team requirements.Other tasks, as requiredBenefits:22-day holiday + bank holidaysEV schemeFree EV charging and parkingCycle to Work SchemeWellness Hub (meditation, GP, 24-hour support)Life InsurancePension SchemeFree weekly fruit, and monthly food vanHouse Cash PlanDiscount Scheme (retail, holiday, hospitality)BonusesQuarterly social gathering, summer, and Christmas partyWhat we need from you:A strong ocean freight background is essential.Good knowledge of the ocean carrier landscapeGood understanding of the ocean market and tradeStrong communication skillsStrong analytical skillsStrong process and system awarenessExcellent attention to detailAt Silver Arrow, our priority is you.
