Role Overview: OFFER SPONSORSHIP



In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse range of clients with varying and/or complex needs, employing a strength-based approach. Clients may include elderly individuals, those with learning disabilities, physical or sensory impairments, or mental health challenges. This dynamic position will facilitate your professional development and equip you with a broad spectrum of skills to engage in frontline holistic occupational therapy practice within a social care environment. You will have the opportunity to conduct assessments such as moving and handling risk assessments and interventions, with the goal of supporting and empowering our clients to lead meaningful lives within their communities.



As part of our team, you will closely collaborate with team members and external organizations and agencies to deliver an integrated service aimed at supporting vulnerable adults and their caregivers in community-based settings. This role entails visiting clients in their homes, as well as other settings such as residential care and nursing homes.



Shortlisting Criteria:



To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application should clearly demonstrate the following:




  • Experience working within a social care or community-focused multidisciplinary setting that provides care, support, and advice to address people's long-term needs.

  • Ability to conduct person-centered and proportionate OT assessments, including moving and handling risk assessments.

  • In-depth knowledge of medical conditions and their potential impact on individuals, as well as a demonstrable understanding of the effects of long-term disability on the individual, caregiver, and family.

  • Ongoing professional development, including current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and adherence to HCPC standards for conduct, performance, and ethics.

  • Willingness and ability to travel countywide to meet the demands of the role.
