Occupational Health Nurse - Band 7We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our People team. This role is a based in our Head Office in Central London (NW1 4LJ). Job ProfileThe role holder will be required to help set the OH strategy for the review and delivery of a commercially focussed and responsive service aligned with our vision, mission and valuesAs a subject matter expert, the role holder will build key partnerships with clinical and non-clinical teams and external partners. The role will also involve;Provide full occupational health remit, pre-employment medicals / assessments, including case management, health surveillance, health screening, fitness for work,Deliver / support health and wellbeing initiatives and campaigns including for example: safe use of medical sharps, skin care and dermatitis, mental health and flu campaignsWork collaboratively with internal stakeholders and employees to keep people healthy and in work. Understanding the health benefits of good work, and the long-term effects of avoidable health related absences.Assess, plan, initiate and advise on an employee's fitness to work in a timely manner of referralAdvise staff who have a fit note about duties that can be undertaken (where appropriate), 'a can do' rather than a can't do approachGive advice to managers about sickness absence management on issues such as musculoskeletal disorders, mental health and more complex health mattersSupport managers and the People Team with managing staff health matters and absences under employee relations processesSkills & ExperienceRegistered General Nurse with valid NMC registration.OH, qualification recorded on Part 3 of the NMC RegisterConsiderable post registration experience within occupational health.Excellent communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and autonomously, as well flexibly as part of a team.Significant post-registration clinical experience.The London Clinic has charitable status which is fundamental to our identity and how we operate, enabling our teams to invest in treatments, technology and facilities that benefit our patients, staff and the wider community.We are committed to safeguarding and protecting all adults at risk, children and young people by implementing robust safer recruitment practices during our selection process.
