Coffee Shop Assistant (Temporary)
Location: Oak Park Active Living Centre
Rate of Pay: £11.98 per hour, annual incremental pay increase.
Working hours: Monday - Sunday, including weekends and Bank Holidays. AM and PM Shifts, in between the hours of 8am - 6pm.
Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Walsall Council for an ADHOC Coffee Shop Assistant. This role requires flexibility, as you will be needed to work Monday to Friday, as well as weekends and bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and Serve Food and Drinks: Ensure a high standard of service for catering outlets within sport and leisure facilities.
• Order Processing: Take and process customer orders efficiently.
• Health and Safety: Follow all operating procedures to maintain customer safety at all times.
• Food Preparation: Undertake basic food preparation while maintaining high hygiene standards.
• Customer Service: Serve snacks, sandwiches, and drinks with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Till Operation: Manage transactions accurately and efficiently.
• General Cleaning: Perform cleaning duties within the unit safely and efficiently, including using and storing cleaning equipment and materials properly.
• Vending Machines: Occasionally clean and fill vending machines as needed.
• Barista Skills: Operate a Barista coffee machine to prepare high-quality coffee beverages.

Essential Requirements:

• Flexible Availability: Able to work as and when required, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Local to Walsall Wood: Preferably residing in or near Walsall or happy to commute to Oak Park Active Living Centre.
• Coffee Shop Experience: Previous experience working in a coffee shop environment.
• Barista Experience: Demonstrated experience in operating a Barista coffee machine.
