Our global network of digital innovation centers enables our clients to understand and harness the latest trends in cybersecurity, Internet of Things and eCommerce.Job DescriptionJob Title:Chemistry Prep Team LeaderJob Type:PermanentHours:37.5 hours per weekKey AccountabilitiesThis role predominantly involves assisting the laboratory management in the following processes:Sample receipt and processing, overseeing work flows to ensure a same day turn around of all samples received into the preparation area.Preparing SOPs, Forms and necessary documentation for full auditability of the area.Overseeing staffing and processes during the designated shift, ensuring sample preparation functions efficiently, and preparation is performed to the highest standard and in line with documented procedures and customer requirements.Conducting training with staff as agreed with laboratory management and as required by the business. Effective recording and documentation of all training received.Ensuring all quality assurance and traceability of testing is undertaken and documented in line with the Quality StandardOverseeing daily production meetings and proactively participating in all other necessary operational or quality meetingsHighlighting process improvements with a focus on continual improvementsPerforming sample preparation duties to support operations wherever required.QualificationsAppreciation of accreditation issues and proceduresGood knowledge of chemistryStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and influence staffAbility to work effectively as part of a team and individually.Good planning and organising skills.Ability to work to a consistently high and reproducible standardMinimum of BSC or equivalent experienceKnowledge of local and national regulations as they apply to the laboratoriesPrevious experience in a commercial food chemistry testing laboratory
