Nursery Room Leader

We are working with a dedicated nursery in the heart of London close to Piccadilly Circus looking for a Nursery Room Leader to become part of the team.
Working in a wonderful nursery that is cosy and has individual rooms for each age range, you can expect a warm feel to the work you are doing. With a range of activities from woodwork to a secret garden, there is something for all the children to get stuck into so that their imaginations can run wild! You will be directly involved in providing care and support to children, including feeding, and engaging in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities. All activities are designated to support the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of the children in their care. As well as working with the children you will participate in staff training and development, helping the team members improve their childcare skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education.

Responsibilities:

• An understanding of learning and creativity through play-based experiences.
• Lead from the front.
• Early Years expert and familiar with the curriculum.
• Ensure the safety, health, and hygiene of the children.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:�

• Minimum of a Level 3 childcare qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experienced as a Room Leader at a nursery.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Be able to be supportive and understand the need of parents and staff.
