Nursery Nurse

Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of a fantastic private day nursery which has been established since 2021, who are looking to employ an enthusiastic Level 2 or 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner for their setting based near Liverpool City Centre. The successful candidate must have a passion for childcare and be able to deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years, in line with Early Years Foundation Stage.

 Key Responsibilities 


  • To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.
  • To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Nursery Lead.
  • To help ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times
  • To plan activities which ensure each child is working towards the early learning outcomes.
  • To deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress.
  • To help ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times.
  • To undertake designated officer roles as directed.
  • To ensure records are maintained, as directed by Nursery Lead, sufficient to inform progress against the Early Learning Goals e.g. Observations, assessments, daily attendance register, accident and incident book, risk assessments.
  • To liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children’s progress and encouraging parents’ involvement.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the nursery aims and objectives
  • To work in partnership with senior management to update and review the self-evaluation and improvement plan.

Essential Criteria


  • Minimum Level 3 Qualification in Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent.
  • Paediatric First Aid
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted statutory guidance.
  • Knowledge and proven experience of working with children 0-5 years.
