As the Nursery Chef, you'll be more than just a chef; you'll be an ambassador for our values, and a gatekeeper for our vibrant culture. You’ll take the lead in ensuring the children are fuelled with wholesome food throughout the day. Your role goes beyond cooking as you’ll be an advocate for nutritious meals, communicating our carefully curated menus
to both children and parents.The food you’ll prepare will be provided by our food partner, which you’ll compliment by creating healthy and filling breakfast and snacks, nourishing the children to empower their learning and play. The kitchen will be your domain and you’ll take the reins, ensuring it's a pristine and hygienic space for food prep, owning tasks like washing up, sterilising and general cleaning.You’ll be proud of operating to the highest standards complying with Health & Safety, Environmental Health and COSHH regulations. By building strong relationships with the wider team, you’ll ensure standards are maintained throughout the nursery and allergy policies are strictly adhered to. We take pride in creating a nurturing environment that caters to individual needs, acknowledging the diversity of each child's background, culture, disabilities, and medical history. With great attention to detail, you'll ensure our nursery remains a sanctuary where every child can flourish and grow.What we’re looking for For the Nursery Chef role, it is essential that you hold a Level 2 or 3 Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate. If you don’t hold this already, then we can help you to achieve this.
