NPI Project Engineer

Reporting to the Commercial Director- the main purpose of the NPI Project Engineerrole is to be responsible for management and delivery of all NPI projects on time and to budget - also ownership of any ongoing RFQ's from initial enquiry to nomination by the customer.
Key responsibilities and duties of the role would be;
Ensure project deliverables are identified from project outset and work with internal stakeholders to ensure they are delivered on time and to budget. Must be able to identify developing problem areas, root causes and impact on projects
Design and develop project schedules, being able to identify key milestones, decision points and project life cycle
Ownership of the following areas of the NPI procurement process, collaborating with the purchasing department, ensuring; suitable suppliers are identified for RFQ considering specific project requirements, terms, conditions and prices are negotiated for component/tooling to ensure project budgets are met.
Timing plans are received from suppliers and monitored to ensure project budgets are achieved
Work in conjunction with the manufacturing engineer to establish internal assembly costs and fixture
Collaborate to drive continuous improvement, ensuring completion of set tasks, produce deliverables and improve KPI's
Schedule meetings to drive project objectives, documenting and producing reports as required
