iO Associates are partnered with a market leading special purpose machinery company based in East Sussex who offer key solutions for electronics, medical research, renewable energy, food production, infrastructure and many more .
They are looking for a new NPI Manager to lead and galvanise the team , develop best working practice and relationships with wider operations and drive performance. This role will enable you to work with the latest technologies and groundbreaking, sustainable innovations.
The NPI Manager will manage a cross-functional team to develop new products that align with the road maps of the division. You will be a coach and mentor to your 10-15 direct reports. Managing a budget of circa $1.5m.
Key responsibilities
Maintain awareness of road maps and identify bid opportunities for the Technology Team.
Work with the team to deliver safe, right first-time NPI solutions to the agreed project timescales and project costs.
Champion the voice of the customer within the team and beyond.
Strengthen the NPI Team through recruitment and development of the multi skilled engineers
Drive innovation, identifying IP opportunities for new products.
Ensure that the team has a clear production testing strategy
Requirements
Bachelor or Masters degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry ,Physics , Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Knowledge of the fundamentals of electronics design both analogue and high-speed digital as well as direct experience in applying the principles to one or more electronics products.
Experience developing product development processes
Must be a good communicator Ability to motivate the team and demonstrate strong influencing skills.
Experience working in a global engineering environment and working with international teams to deliver solutions. Experience working in a multi-disciplinary design environment.
Experience working in a regulated, compliance-driven industry. Strong understanding on product safety and compliance.
Experience in a project management role using both Waterfall and Agile frameworks.
Cross-functional team management experience working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment
CEng, Chartered Engineer, would be preferred.
Benefits include salary between £64,000-£74,000 , bonus 15% , and relocation package and support available .
