We are passionate about having the best formulations using natural ingredients and are constantly exploring what’s possible in ethical and sustainable skincare.Job Title: Packaging TechnologistTeam: NPD team, part of the Marketing DivisionReports to: Head of Product, NPD & SustainabilityJob Summary:This role is a great opportunity for a creative and inquisitive packaging technologist to be part of Pai's growth story, with responsibility for new packaging development from concept to launch. The remit includes redevelopment of existing packaging to improve sustainability and product/supplier performance. The right candidate would become a core part of the NPD & R&D team and support in project management, testing and sampling new innovations to bring products to market.Key Responsibilities:New Packaging Development - Develop and ensure compliance with Pai’s brand requirements for primary, secondary and transit packagingExisting Packaging Development - Improve product and supplier performance, customer experience and Pai’s environmental credentialsAssist with compatibility testing, weight loss, evacuation testing and performance Testing alongside the R&D teamActively seek innovation in the packaging market, via supplier meetings and trade showsActively support the wider NPD process working closely with R&D, Marketing and Sales to support the project management process.Support and implement sustainability projects across the business. For example our commitment to 100% circularity by 2030.Support QA and Production with new and existing packaging development via trials and first productionsBe a key contributor to one-off or seasonal projects including gifting & samplingSupport the management of artworks and the internal approval process.Coordinate and manage packaging artworks with other duties facilitating launch of NPD and EPD productsFile artworks, cutter guides and relevant packaging information in the correct format and relevant foldersSupport the Senior NPD Product Manager on Marketing, Commercial and PR team requirements for innovation sampling.Key Skills:Passionate about packaging & sustainability.2+ years experience within Skincare or Cosmetics packaging development with technical knowledge and a keen eye for detailUnderstanding of NPD project management and critical path analysisHighly organised, proactive and enjoy working on multiple projects at the same timeBe self-driven, results-oriented and have excellent communication skillsProven previous experience & knowledge in printing technology and packaging materials within skincare or cosmeticsTeam player with positive, can-do attitude
