As they embark on an exciting phase of international expansion, we are seeking a seasoned professional to join their Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Director.
Role Overview:
As a Non-Executive Director, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic guidance and a broader perspective to our leadership team. With a focus on international growth and the nuances of the hospitality and food retail sectors, your expertise will be instrumental in steering the company towards sustained success.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Oversight: Provide valuable insights and strategic oversight to the executive team, contributing to the development and execution of international expansion strategies.
Governance and Compliance: Ensure the highest standards of corporate governance and compliance, working closely with the leadership team to mitigate risks and seize opportunities.
Financial Acumen: Utilize your financial acumen to assess financial reports, budgets, and key performance indicators, ensuring the business remains financially robust and aligned with its growth objectives.
Industry Connectivity: Leverage your industry connections, especially within the venture capital community, to foster strategic partnerships, collaborations, and access potential funding opportunities.
International Market Expertise: Bring a deep understanding of global markets, trends, and cultural nuances within the hospitality and food retail sectors, advising on market entry strategies and brand positioning.
Risk Management: Collaborate with the leadership team to identify potential risks and develop effective risk management strategies, ensuring the company's growth is sustainable and resilient.
Succession Planning: Contribute to the development of a robust succession plan for key leadership positions, ensuring continuity in leadership during periods of growth.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Non-Executive Director, preferably within the hospitality and food retail sectors.
Extensive knowledge of international markets and a track record of contributing to the success of businesses undergoing rapid expansion.
Strong financial acumen and the ability to analyse complex financial data.
Well-connected within the venture capital community with a demonstrated ability to attract investment and foster strategic partnerships.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A strategic thinker with the ability to challenge and guide the executive team effectively.
