The Link is a Redcar based professional mental health and emotional wellbeing providerbased in the North East of England, we are passionate about supporting children, youngpeople and families locally. Our services include a wide range of workshops and training,therapeutic assessments, one to one therapeutic interventions including specialisttherapies with a focus on Trauma and Attachment and Children and Young People,Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP IAPT) evidence-based therapies.The Link is going through a period of development and as part of this, we are seeking tostrengthen our Board by recruiting two additional Non-Executive Directors. You will workclosely with the other Board members to set the strategic context within which highquality, evidence based therapeutic services are provided to children and young peopleWe are looking for people who can play a key role in corporate leadership, governanceand financial stewardship and can contribute effectively to the strategic development andplanning of the wider Link CIC system. Our strong culture, ethos and values have helpedus develop a strong reputation for delivering safe, efficient and effective services whichservice users would choose and recommend.We are a not for profit, values driven organisation providing NHS and Local Authorityfunded community based health and social care to a standard we would expect forourselves and those we care about. We have a commitment to add value to the localcommunity and as a Social Enterprise we exist purely for this purpose.Do you have senior leadership experience and the credibility to forge strategic alliancesand build effective relationships at all levels internally and beyond the organisation? Weare particularly keen to hear from individuals with financial and/or strong commercial orstrategic backgrounds in children’s services or similar.We believe it is important for all our Board and senior managers to be visible andencourage our Non-Executives to visit our services, to meet staff and the people we carefor. You would also be required to attend regular Board meetings (currently bi-monthlybut may change to quarterly once the Board is fully established).
