Night Shift Despatch Warehouse Operative

Connect Appointments have an exciting opportunity for a Despatch Operative to join our established client's Warehouse in Dunfermline, Fife.

As a Despatch Operative you will oversee key aspects of our client's night shift operations, including picking stock, loading and unloading of trailers as well as general handling of goods.

For this you will be paid £12.01 per hour, working Sunday to Thursday (11pm to 5am) and Friday (8pm to 2am). With Immediate starts available, full training provided, and progression opportunities. Now is your chance, APPLY NOW!

Your duties and responsibilities as a Despatch Operative include:

• Liaising with transport/warehouse colleagues on-site and with other depots within the company
• Oversee goods-in, picking, loading and despatch processes
• Monitor Marshalling/Loading sheets to identify discrepancies
• Motivate the team to exceed targets and maximise performance
• Other day-to-day activities as required

To be successful you will ideally have previous experience within a warehouse environment, with knowledge and skills of despatch work. Combined with a strong understanding of logistics operations and processes, and H&S guidelines. Plus:

• Experience using computer systems
• The ability to count accurately and at speed
• Excellent communication skills
• Outstanding organisational skills
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
