Duties:
Cover an Adult Epilepsy Clinical Nurse Specialist caseloadWorking virtually or working face to face in community in Thurrock, Basildon, and Brentwood localitiesComplete Initial assessments, make medication changes, reviews of patients care plansComplete yearly reviewsProvide education to patients, carers, and the wider MDTKeep accurate, detailed up to date records of patients
Requirements for theEpilepsy Nurse Specialist role:
Degree or equivalent in Nursing (RGN qualified) with active NMC Registration (Adult)Understand and have awareness of NICE recommendations around the management and assessment of EpilepsyRegistered Band 7 Epilepsy Clinical Nurse SpecialistRecent or present knowledge and working experience of caring for those with epilepsy and other related neurological conditions including undertaking annual risk assessment for sodium valporate
