Job DescriptionOverviewThe New Business Advisor will be the initial point of contact with clients and is responsible for attracting and onboarding new client relationships. This individual will have a broad understanding of wealth management practices and investment strategies with the ideal candidate having proven experience with new business and sales goals. The New Business Advisor will work in tandem with Wealth Advisors within the firm in a team relationship model.ResponsibilitiesAbility to establish client investment objectives including risk tolerance, asset allocation, and cash requirementsWork with firm team members to identify and implement an appropriate investment strategy for each client based on their goals, objectives, and risk tolerance.Work with client to develop individual investment objectivesCollaborate with strategic custodial partners and COIs to create and foster partnershipReviews portfolio issues (i.e., taxes, liquidity events, etc.) as neededManage investment transition for new clientsCommunicate and collaborates with the Investment Team regarding investment strategy and client portfolio structureProvide recommendations to individuals and families enabling them to fulfill their financial goalsIdentify insurance needs for clients and assess proper solutionsAbility to discuss investment performance, economic and market trendsDevelop a knowledge of the client's entire financial and family situation and be able to structure investment and financial planAbility to discuss estate planning and work with internal and external resources to meet the estate planning goals of the clientDirect consultation with attorneys and accountants on financial, tax, and estate planningClient meeting planning, facilitation, and presentationSeek to increase current accounts through additions to AUMCompliance awareness with all industry rules and regulations and firm policiesOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited college or universityMinimum 10 years relevant experience within financial services, wealth management preferredStrong organization and communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentProven track record and sales ability to close new businessCompetence with industry software to include CRM, Portfolio Management system, MS Office, custodial platform
