Network Engineer

What you’ll doWe are looking for a Network Engineer, someone who can deliver operational excellence and stability to our customer facing and corporate networks. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a wider technical team building and connecting platforms that will help define the future of hospitality both in the UK and abroad.You and your team will help to build strong, collaborative relationships with architects, operations, and engineering teams.You’ll be involved in the design, implementation and help maintain secure, scalable, and highly available networking solutions.We’ll look to you to help develop the future of networking within Zonal, evaluating new technology, building roadmaps, and working collaboratively with other teams to deliver industry leading solutions.Responsibilities will involve: - Build out tooling, monitoring, and security controls. Own the network aspects within DR plans and processes.Promote a automate, tool and document culture.Analyse and implement solutions to reduce complexity and toil.Participate in on-call cover and Incident ResponseWho you areYou will have 2+ years’ experience in a similar role of implementing/troubleshooting highly available networks. Firewalls, switching and L2/L3 principles.Configuration and administration of resilient corporate and datacentre network infrastructure and devicesExperience of Network Monitoring, logging, and alertingExperience of configuration and administration of resilient LAN/WAN infrastructuresSolid understanding of network design principles, resilience, and industry best practiceExperienced documenting solutions, specifications, and high-level designs, developing policies around BAU and change.Additionally, the following skill areas would be advantageous:Experience in Checkpoint, DELL, Meraki and ESXi network servicesExperience in and around multi-site enterprise, MSP, datacentre, and cloud technologiesBased around central belt Scotland for on-site attendance.What we valueImagine what it would be like to work at the UK’s leading tech developer to the country’s biggest and best pubs and restaurants?
