Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Network Architecture Plans: Own and contribute to the organisation’s network architecture plans.
Enterprise Architecture: Contribute to enterprise architecture plans.
Security Architecture: Contribute to forward security architecture plans.
Platform/Product Ownership: Own and strategies multiple network services and tools.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in Security Operations, IT Development, and Information Security teams, guiding engineering teams accordingly.
Leadership: Provide architectural leadership for medium to large-sized initiatives.
Collaboration and Advocacy: Work closely with IT teams to promote effective processes and policies.
Mentoring: Provide training and mentoring to network engineers.
Technical Scope:
Routing & Switching: Enterprise and cloud routing and switching, including SD-WAN and MPLS architectures.
Load Balancing: Enterprise load balancing services.
Firewall Services: Enterprise firewall services.
Wi-Fi Services: Enterprise Wi-Fi services.
VPN/Zero Trust: VPNs, Zero Trust Network Access, and web proxy services.
Knowledge & Experience
:
Experience in complex IT environments and project structures.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical background.
Demonstrable experience in network architecture activities.
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (Network Engineer Associate level or AZ-700 certification).
Experience with infrastructure and networking tools (Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, CloudFlare, F5).
Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF or COBIT).
Education/Qualification
:
~ Relevant Bachelor’s degree (or multi-year experience in relevant systems or network engineering roles).
