NDT Technician

The company

Established over 50 years ago this manufacturing company, based in Walsall, are industry leaders in high-integrity fabrication, welding, and tube manipulation. Who supplies into a diverse range of sectors, including petrochemical, oil & gas, environmental, and nuclear. After securing several long-term contracts with key customers, the company is now seeking an NDT Technician to join their team permanently.

The role

The company are looking for an experienced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician who will take responsibility for identifying potential flaws and structural weaknesses in their products. Working 8 hour day shifts, with the opportunity for overtime and weekend availability.

You will take responsibility for:

• Perform Non-Destructive Testing following relevant standards and procedures
• Analyse and assess test outcomes in line with given Acceptance Standards
• Generate test reports that are articulate and to the point
• Demonstrate a consistent commitment to integrity and professionalism.
• Supervise specialised NDT tasks, guaranteeing compliance with internal protocols, industry standards, and regulations.

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• 2 years NDT experience minimum
• PCN Level II Certificate
• Experience on X-Ray of Welds on Pipework and Pressure Vessels

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• Experience with Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI) and Visual Testing (VT)
