Want to become certified in Computed Radiography (CR) - a rapidly emerging technique?



I'm looking for a radiographer who's keen to expand their NDT experience and certification tally. Those with supervisory experience are highly sought after.



You will work as part of a small team supporting a third party in their state-of-the-art facility in Newcastle.



Training in other methods and techniques will be provided, including CR.

Job requirements: 




  • Level 2 RT certification (welds)

  • Desirable: Certification or experience of Computed Radiography.

  • Desirable: Additional level 2 certification in either PT, MT or VT.

  • At least 2-3 years relevant NDT experience

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal skills

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

  • Willingness to work overtime where demand requires additional capacity.



Job responsibilities:




  • Working as part of an NDT inspection team in a state-of-the-art facility, across 8-hour rotating shift patterns to test welds.

  • Working as a team under the direction of the Operations Manager to ensure customer deadlines are met in a timely fashion including shared overtime where required.

  • Working to implement and develop specific NDT techniques under the guidance of Company appointed Level 3 and Technical Managers.

  • Working in accordance with company or customer testing procedures and written instructions. Interpret national and international standards.

  • Assisting and conducting routine quality checks of testing equipment in accordance with approved procedures.

  • Working under guidance of Company appointed Level 3 and Technical Management to ensure continued professional development, certificate renewal / recertification and further qualification through structured training in multiple NDT methods.

  • Attending daily SQDC meetings and contributing to improvements via suggestion and implementation of initiatives.

  • Participating in 5S initiatives and following good housekeeping practices.

  • Adhering to company safety and quality management systems and being an active participant in a strong safety and quality culture.



Hours of employment: 



8-hour weekly rotating shift pattern (Mon to Fri, (Apply online only); (Apply online only); (Apply online only)).
