NDT Inspector

A leading manufacturer of complex precision components to the aerospace, defence and energy sectors has a new vacancy for a Quality Inspector to join the team.  Candidates will be tasked with processing and inspecting components using a range of NDT inspection techniques and candidates are sought with dye penetrant inspection experience.

Commutable from: Bristol, Filton, Bath.

Salary: £ 30,000 - £ 35,000 + Overtime + Benefits

Suitable for: Quality Inspector, NDT Inspector, Inspector, Quality Engineer.

The Role

Perform inspection of parts to ensure they meet with customer requirements.
Work with Quality Engineer to support product issues.
Processing and inspecting components using NDT techniques.
Ensure parts conform to technical drawings and quality acceptance standards.
Carry out control checks of the NDT line on a weekly basis.
Cleaning and organising the NDT inspection department.
Oversee the ERP System and data collection software.
Lead by example by maintaining company mission and values.

The Candidate

Experience of working within a precision manufacturing environment in essential.
Dye penetrant NDT experience.
Ability to check components for defects.
Good understanding of quality control procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Conversant with quality procedures and with inspection techniques.
Experience using CMM machines.
Have the ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
