Works under the Apps QA Lead and other software engineers, project managers, designers and QA team members.Role LocationThis is a remote position, and so we are therefore open to candidates based across the UK. They should be proficient in using testing frameworks like Espresso and have experience in writing robust tests. Additionally, the candidate should have a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving bugs and issues. Their role will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of our mobile apps, ensuring a seamless user experience for readers across Android devices.Role ResponsibilityYour role responsibilities will include but not be limited toResponsible for developing test cases and automating them as part of our UI and E2E unit using Espresso and UIAutomatorResponsible for carrying out manual testing for all new features developed by the teamAssists in an accurate estimate of building and executing testsProvide ideas and plans of how we can further improve our frameworks and processesQualificationsMinimum of 2 years of relevant experience in QA engineeringA fan of data and a believer in the opportunities it can unlock.A confident and articulate communicator who inspires strong collaboration within an organisation and between teamsA self-starter with a can-do, will-do attitudeStrong experience with Kotlin programming language for test automation and developmentDemonstrate ability in writing custom matchers for tailored testing scenariosExperience with Dagger and Hilt dependency injection frameworksThe Ideal candidateThe following are considered desirable but not essential skills to have:The ideal candidate for this position should have strong Android automation skills focused on Espresso and UIAutomator.
