Job Description:
This role will focus on Major Infrastructure Developments delivered through the NSIP regime. You will lead on setting up systems and approaches to deliver sound organisational Reponses to major infrastructure and significant housing developments with pan-regional impacts.

Job Responsibilities:
This will include engaging with regional consultants and property staff and influencing external stakeholders to develop strategic mitigation asks and map opportunities and risks associated with the development.
You’ll make sound recommendations to the Regions and Countries and advise senior staff around the best approaches.
You’ll Coordinate and advise around other strategic developments – such as the Ox-Camb Arc proposals and will provide agile support to other major infrastructure proposals, which are being supported in the Regions and Countries.
You’ll relish capturing successes and build best practice and guidance and you’ll identify where improvements can be made finding innovative ways to constantly evolve ways of working.
You will drive the Trusts overarching approach to engaging with Major Infrastructure and will set up new systems and process to track, monitor and horizon scan these key developments and understand and articulate the risks and opportunities for the Trust.
Job Requirements:
Ability to influence management and to interact with staff and external suppliers / contractors/partners at all levels. PC Literate using MS software and other packages to intermediate level. Ability to read maps and plans.
Excellent leadership and communication skills including the ability to manage and motivate geographically dispersed, matrix-managed project teams, including external contractors. Ability to negotiate effectively and make a convincing and persuasive case to external audiences.
Experience and understanding of major infrastructure planning and associated legislation with a good understanding of how and when to influence.
Ability to multi-task and to successfully manage and effectively prioritise multiple projects, and synthesise complex advice into successful project planning and clear organisational responses. Understanding of the challenges associated with ambiguity and constantly changing horizons.
Demonstrable ability to review, implement and refine systems and process to deliver efficiencies and ensure strategic oversight of key issues for reporting and resourcing purposes.
Planning, environmental or other related relevant Degree.
