National Sales Manager

Salary:
£50k -£60k basic (depending on experience) + large bonusAn environmentally friendly packaging converter seeks a candidate to market a range of products designed to remove plastic from the E-Commerce sector.The candidate will have a proven track record in senior-level sales, ideally selling packaging to retailers. They are looking for someone whose ambition and determine will rival their current standing directors.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:1. Research new clients, products, markets & exhibitions/events on a national basis. 2. Prospect/cold call utilizing own initiative, industry knowledge & best practices eg. LinkedIn.3. Persuade new prospects and lapsed customers to place physical orders and / or accept a meeting to establish packaging needs. 4. Maximise profitable opportunities by understanding client operation savings vs price paying.5. Increase company participation in tendered packaging opportunities.6. Attend exhibitions & relevant training courses to develop knowledge, techniques, and skills. Personal SpecificationPositive mindset with care of their work, clients & colleagues.Proven track record of senior-level sales is essential, ideally in selling packaging to retailers.Highly motivated and able to work effectively under own initiative. Confident in liaising with company Owners/Directors and prestigious blue chip companies.Ability to challenge / persuade prospect if hurdles need overcoming.Maximises ‘cold call effectiveness’ adapting prospecting method (e.g. LinkedIn/ teams)Quick thinker Team Player Very strong interpersonal skills. Confident and able to engage with internal and external stakeholders. Pro-active work ethicOrganised and efficient. Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office and LinkedIn.
