Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well-established supplier of various types of materials handling and lifting Equipment who are looking for a new Area Sales Manager to cover the South & Midlands to sell their specialist electrical street vacuum on a national basis. Due to recent expansion, the company now require a capable individual to manage and develop their client base selling their innovative & exclusive brand. With excellent commission potential and a competitive salary this is a great opportunity for an experienced individual from material handling, cleaning equipment, waste or another sector seeking a challenging and rewarding role.
Responsibilities
Managing an existing client base throughout England consisting of local authorities and councils predominantly
Develop this client base further through visiting clients from leads generated by the business
Conducting and winning tenders in the sale of electrical street vacuum’s
Provide detailed quotations and conduct site surveys and close sells of high value capital equipment
Attending relevant exhibitions from time to time
Requirements
Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that the successful candidate has experience of working with capital equipment and providing a solution sell able to do demos with customers. Ideally you will have sold sweepers/cleaning equipment, material handling or similar. Another possibility is an individual from the waste sector. Experience with council’s or local authorities is preferred but not essential. You will be proactive in your approach and have the ability to build long-term relationships and work on projects successfully with the patience to build up and work on tenders with local authorities. The role provides excellent commission opportunities for the right candidate with uncapped commission based on revenue. In terms of location you can be located anywhere across the UK though being based in the North of England is preferred.

They provide various products to include stackers and pallet trucks, positioners, scissor tables, mobile cranes and overhead lifting as well as other various handling products. Additionally, they have an electrical vehicles division and their range includes innovative cleaning products. With a well-established client base they now require a sales professional to develop this across the UK.
