National Operations Director – Exclusive – Supermarket Food Logistics

Job Description:
Oliver Sanderson has been engaged to source an exciting new position for a large National Food Distributor. Working for one of the largest food retailers, this well-known company is looking for an Operations Director to join them and head up a new account. This is a national role so can be based anywhere in England but you must be willing to travel regularly.
We are looking for someone with:
Direct experience working for supermarkets or with supermarket food distribution/logistics.
Experience in management of a large P&L.
Ability to lead change and transformation of processes and operations.
Expertise in unions management and stakeholder management.
Proven track record in delivering operations best practice and improvement in transport & warehousing leadership.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Senior Operations leader, ideally from a food background but our client is open to those with experience in FMCG, Logistics, Retail, Food Retail, Food Distribution, 3PL, and Distribution. We're looking for someone who understands the complexities of working in a large matrix organization and has dealt with managing multiple accounts. Someone with excellent communication skills who can engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
