And this allows Science in Sport to have the highest standards of quality.Science in Sport is Performance Solutions partner to Ineos Grenadiers cycling team, Tottenham Hotspur, New York City and OGC Nice football clubs, in addition to being the Official Nutrition Partner to the Milwaukee Bucks, 2021 National Basketball Association Champions and in 2023, winner of the women’s marathon at the 2022 World Athletics Championships, Gotytom Gebreslase.The RoleThe National Account Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth within the Wholesale and Grocery sector in the UK. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the sports nutrition market and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Salary: Up to £50,000
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm

Account management
- Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts maximising sales and ensuring satisfaction in the Wholesale and Grocery sector. Conduct regular reviews, offering insights to boost product visibility•
Sales strategy and execution
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the Wholesale and Grocery sector in alignment with overall company objectives•
Cross-functional collaboration - Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to remain competitive within the industry through promotional campaigns, order fulfilment and product portfolio•
Forecasting and reporting - Data analytics and forecasting to provide opportunities for growth and operational efficiencyAccountability – what you are responsible for delivering•
Managing P&L •
Develop and implement comprehensive account plans, outlining short-term and long-term objectives•
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and potential threats•
Utilise sales analytics to identify trends and make data-driven decisions•
Lead negotiations with key accounts to secure favourable terms and pricing which align with company policies and legal standards•
Coordinate in-store promotions and product launches to enhance brand visibility•
Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns that resonate with target customers•
Continuously monitor sales performance against targets and KPIs•
Schedule regular meetings to understand customer needs and address concerns.Capability - the skills and behaviours required to do this job well•
BA degree in business management, marketing or a related field is desirable•
Negotiation skills to secure favourable terms, pricing and promotional opportunities•
Collaboration within the UK Retail team and cross-functionally•
Organisational and project management skills•
Critical thinking capabilities relating to market trends, customer behaviours and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities•
Interpersonal skills to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders•

Proven experience as a National Account Manager in the Wholesale and Grocery sector, preferably within the sports nutrition or FMCG industry is essential•
