About Our Client Although established 70 years ago, my client is still a small, tight knit business, with an existing footprint across the UK grocery channel. They supply Mediterranean and Middle Eastern foods, across both ambient and chilled categories, and are now looking for a National Account Manager as the expand their team to service their continued growth.
Job DescriptionIdentify opportunities to drive growth, revenue and profits across existing account baseBe fully responsible for the Sainsbury's account, with other accounts also under your remitUtilise existing relationships and business development skills to win new accounts in the UK grocery channelAgree JBPs, CPIs and negotiate contracts across your account baseWork with the National Account Controller to execute agreed sales strategiesMonitor trends in the market to stay ahead of competitionIdentify and understand the needs and future plans of your accountsAnalyse sales data and anticipate market trendsReport back to the business on performance and opportunities The Successful ApplicantPrior experience working at national account level within the UK grocery channelMUST have prior experience of working with Sainsbury'sExperience of working in food and drink across own label goods is requiredExperience working across additional UK grocers is a bonusStrong negotiation and presentation skills, demonstrable experience in JBPs, CPIsExceptional knowledge of the UK grocery channelStrong communication and relationship building skillsMust be able to travel to a North London office 2-3 days a week What's on OfferA competitive salary of £58,000 - £60,000£6k car allowancePerformance related bonus as a percentage of salaryCommission as a percentage of profitAutonomous and supportive culture in a small teamOpportunity to drive new business as well as manage existing accounts
