The Supply Register is currently working in partnership with Leigh Academy Hugh Christie to find a Music Teacher to join their team from September 2024.

As a Music Teacher at Leigh Academy Hugh Christie, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of tomorrow, instilling a love of learning and an understanding of Music that will empower our students to excel in all areas of life.

This position would suit an Early Career Teacher, a teacher looking for their first move or an experienced teacher in search of a collaborative and innovative department. 

Responsibilities

• Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
• Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
• Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
• Plan and teach well structured lessons
• Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
• Make accurate and productive use of assessment
• Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
• Fulfil wider professional responsibilities

Requirements

• Must be a qualified Music Teacher with QTS
• Must have the Right to Work in the UK
• Must hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one
• Must be able to provide a minimum of 2 years’ worth of professional references
