Are you a passionate and talented Music Teacher looking for a new opportunity? Look no further! Our primary and secondary schools in Washington are seeking dynamic individuals to join our team as Music Teachers, starting immediately.
About the Role:
As a Music Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students through the power of music. You will deliver creative and innovative music lessons that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of students, fostering a love for music and promoting creativity, expression, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging music lessons that cover a range of topics, including theory, composition, performance, and appreciation
  • Provide opportunities for students to develop their musical skills and talents through individual and group activities, rehearsals, and performances
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore and express themselves through music
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to organize musical events, concerts, and extracurricular activities that showcase students' talents and achievements
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification with a specialization in Music
  • Previous experience teaching music in a secondary school setting, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument and the ability to teach a range of musical styles and genres
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
  • Passion for music education and a commitment to promoting the benefits of music for personal and academic development
