Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Multimodal Operations Specialist to join our team at the Heathrow office on a temporary basis, with the potential for permanent employment. This role involves managing and coordinating both Air and Ocean freight operations. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in import and export logistics, proficiency in CargoWise software, and expertise in using the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) for customs entries.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate shipments via air and sea to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Handle import and export documentation and compliance, specifically using the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) for all customs entries.
Liaise with clients, freight forwarders, carriers, and customs agents to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor shipment progress and respond promptly to any delays or issues.
Maintain accurate records of all transactions using CargoWise software.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in Air and Sea freight operations with a strong focus on Export procedures.
Proficiency in using CargoWise software.
Expertise in the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) for managing customs entries.
Understanding of customs regulations, shipping documentation, and compliance requirements related to Imports and Exports.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to problem-solve under pressure and make informed decisions quickly.

Desirable Skills:

Experience in courier services.
Familiarity with CDS ASM Sequoia.
