Multimodal Operations Specialist Imports & Exports

We are seeking a highly capable Multimodal Operations Specialist to manage and coordinate our Air and Ocean freight operations on a temporary basis, with potential to transition to a permanent role. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience in both air and ocean freight logistics, demonstrating extensive knowledge in import and export operations, proficiency in CargoWise software, and mandatory expertise in using the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) for customs entries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate the shipment of goods via air and sea, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Handle import and export documentation and compliance, specifically using the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) for all customs entries, adhering to local and international regulations.
• Liaise with clients, freight forwarders, carriers, and customs agents to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor shipment progress, responding promptly to any delays or issues.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions using CargoWise software.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Air and Sea freight operations with a strong focus on Export procedures.
• Mandatory proficiency in using CargoWise software.
• Required expertise in the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) for managing customs entries.
• Understanding of customs regulations, shipping documentation, and compliance requirements related to Imports and Exports.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to problem-solve under pressure and make informed decisions quickly.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in courier services.
• CDS ASM Sequoia
