Multi Skilled Security Engineer

MULTI-SKILLED OPERATIVE
Role: We're presently searching for an experienced Multi-Skilled Operative to join our clients engineering team in the southern region. In this position, you'll collaborate with a group of field engineers to repair, install, and maintain assets to an industry-leading standard. You'll work alongside professional teams, both in the field and office-based, situated in London and the North West. We'll provide you with a fully equipped van, mobile phone, power tools, equipment, and uniform with PPE.
About the company: Our client has become a prominent installer of automatic gates, turnstiles, bollards, barriers, shutters, automatic doors, and access control systems, offering nationwide coverage.
Key Duties and Responsibilities of a Multi-Skilled Operative:
• Reactive repair, installation, and proactive maintenance of automated gates, bollards, roller shutters, access control systems, CCTV, and other security systems.
• Thorough investigation of reported faults.
• Inspection of installations to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Proactively suggesting necessary upgrades for compliance or improved reliability.
• Providing coherent and comprehensive written and photographic reports on findings.
• Clear and professional communication with clients.
Requirements:
• Adherence to safety standards.
• DHF or Gate Safe qualification, ADSA qualification.
• Experience in the installation, upgrade, and repair of various types of automated gates.
• Experience in the installation, upgrade, and repair of a range of other security systems.
• Electrical qualifications (desirable), ECS Card.

• Experience in welding advantageous but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Calm and logical approach to solving complex problems under pressure.
• Ability to meticulously search for complex or hidden faults.
• Enthusiastic and tenacious work ethic with attention to detail.
• Compliance with team rosters.
• Liaising with Engineers and Engineering Team Leaders as necessary.
• Asset management for customer plant and equipment.
• Ensuring documentation of procedures and processes is relevant to the current environment.
Salary:
Salary is negotiable (Circa £34-38k basic) dependent on experience and qualifications, plus a competitive bonus and overtime. 
Location:
Greater London and the South East.
Work schedule:
Monday to Friday role. 24/7 call-out rota approximately once per week (call-out rota remuneration is £250 per week plus call-out hours). Plenty of overtime opportunities.
