Your New Job: As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Shift Engineer, you'll be tasked with understanding and contributing to achieving the goals of the Factory by efficiently carrying out any assigned operation or task. Maintenance engineers will work effectively with others as part of a team consisting of Team Managers, Advanced Team Members, and Team Members, who together possess all the skills to convert product on an hour-by-hour basis complying with quality, safety, and any other legislative requirements. You will need to have flexibility when coming to working hours as required for training, project work, or to facilitate cross-shift initiatives (e.g., continuous improvement forums).
Effective planned maintenance inspections as per plan, reviewing frequencies, parts used, recommending alternative parts/vendors, meantime between failure rates. Recommend improvements to maintenance schedules. Overhaul and repair of plant. Complete stores requisitions for parts and contract services (on the SAP system or equivalent), including expediting deliveries with suppliers. Continually monitor plant conditions and report defects. Deliver a consistent and improving plant reliability through the effective management and monitoring of downtime, PPM conformance, engineering planning, use of SAP PM, and elements of the engineering budget. Report and present all performance matters routinely, including trends and breakdown/fault data. Act as the team champions of good engineering standards. Your Experience and Requirements: ZAP is searching for candidates with a minimum of 4 years' experience within a similar role in manufacturing. Candidates must have either an NVQ level 3 or equivalent in an electrical discipline with corresponding practical knowledge. The ideal candidate would be HNC qualified, hold current Edition wiring regs and an NVQ in lean tool and techniques.
