Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Salary: �38,000 to �40,000 + Shift after Training Period
Location: Kidderminster
Start: ASAP
Contract: Perm
Holidays: 33 days holiday (inc Bank Holidays)
Shifts: During the initial 6 months day shifts only.
Working hours are 7:30am - 3:30pm Mon-Thur & 7:30am - 2:30pm Friday
6:00am - 2:00pm early shift or 2:00pm - 10:00pm for lates.
My Client are currently seeking two permanent Multi-Skilled Engineers to join our dedicated team at our Kidderminster facility. As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll utilise your expertise in both mechanical and electrical engineering to ensure the optimal performance of our plant and equipment. From fault-finding to planned preventative maintenance, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting production requirements and factory services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Adherence to all statutory Safety, Health, and Environment regulations.
* Accurate documentation of maintenance activities and downtime utilising our CMMS.
* Collaborate with the maintenance team to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
* Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks according to schedules.
* Diagnose and rectify faults on manufacturing equipment.
* Identify root causes of faults and implement permanent corrective actions.
* Provide timely responses to plant breakdowns while maintaining company standards.
* Mentor and train new apprentices in maintenance disciplines.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Recognized electrical and mechanical qualifications.
* Mechatronics apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
* Proven track record in maintenance engineering with strong electrical and mechanical competencies.
* Expertise in fault diagnosis, planned maintenance, and corrective actions.
* Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS.
Desirable Skills:
* Knowledge of health and safety processes.
* Understanding of Quality Operating Systems and environmental practices.
* Certification in 18th Edition BS7671 and 2391/52 inspection and testing.
* PLC programming and fault-finding experience.
