Our client, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, are seeking an MRP Controller to manage current and future manufacturing schedules, oversee logistics management activities, and ensure timely fulfilment of customer programs at the Stevenage site.

In this role as an MRP Controller, the successful candidate would also report to a senior member of the Manufacturing Planning & Control team.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in Manufacturing planning, Supply chain management, or a related field would be relevant.
  • APIC supply chain certification is desirable but optional to the role.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and MRP systems would be advantageous.
  • Good Planning and organising skills.
  • Communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
  • Analyse and solve problems and pay close attention to details.
  • Previous experience in logistics and production or an associated discipline would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Kanban and two bin systems.

What you'll get to do as a MRP Controller:

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all planning-related activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of the Manufacturing Planning Schedule (MPS). In this role, you will perform various tasks, including material planning and procurement, ensuring an adequate supply of materials for manufacturing, managing the MRP system, maintaining efficient inventories, working closely with the Supply Planner, identifying risks, collaborating with Goods Receiving, stores, and dispatch, supporting non-conformance management, and maintaining the manufacturing bill of materials and strategy. Your ultimate goal will be to support the achievement of schedule adherence, inventory, and delivery KPIs through the effective execution of the planning process.

Our client's relationship with the UK military spans back over 70 years. They have delivered countless landmarks in defence engineering, supplying vital defence capability to meet the needs of the armed forces over land, sea, and air.

This role is based at their headquarters site in Stevenage which plays a key part in missiles operations. The site also offers excellent transportation links and boasts an onsite gym and coffee shop. Training and development are offered to all employees.
